Sato boarding school used to be a peaceful small school. Now there are much more students on campus and that means more rumors are to be spread. These rumors spread rapidly with all the technology allowed. Now that mean rumors spread rapidly through campus, friends have become enemies. Now that this has happened the campus has been torn apart in many directions. Can this new year start off good or come off from the year before and leave the campus torn?

A Walk to Smell the Flowers « Thread Started on Mar 27, 2008, 1:09pm »
Jaylen walked along the garden's paths with a book in her hand. She was going to get into the middle of the garden and sit on a bench and read, or that was her plan, plans can change right? She would stop and smell the flowers every time a new plant came to her.
Smelling the flowers was a nice quiet thing to do, and would make her reading ten times better.

Aidan is more than a little dense when it comes to identifying flowers but that doesn't mean to say that he doesn't like the way they look. His hair was touseled as he sat cross legged upon the floor beside a flower bed, his jeans a little dirty at the knees and yet he seemed happy enough, leant over a little as he sketched quickly in a small sketch book. Aidan likes to think of himself as a mini artist, and when he's alone he often turns to his pencils to draw something. Merely because he cannot stand boredom.
He brushed the side of hand over his little sketch, wiping away eraser remained seconds before a strange look came over his face, "Achoo!" Fortunately he managed to cover his mouth, unfortunately he'd scared away the bird he'd been drawing with the sudden, loud sound.

Jaylen heard a sneeze from somewhere to her left. The curious one she was she had to go identify who it was. She walked a tiny bit faster because she wasn't stopping to sniff the flowers. "Hello," she said aloud as she neared where she thought the sound came from, "anyone there?" she asked. She had to know, she wanted to know. She soon came around the corner and saw him. "Oh someone is here," she said, "I thought I was alone here in the garden today since half the school hasn't even arrived," she said in small snotty voice, but that was how she sounded most of the time.

"Is anyone there?"
"Huh?" An unintelligent answer perhaps, but it seemed that he didn't have to answer the question put forward by the arrival of this girl anyway, she answered it herself by finding him sat there upon the floor. He smiled, a friendly quirk of his lips that always seemed to be present upon his face most of the time, "sorry to disappoint you," he spoke, not at all sarcastically, but with a string of laughter within his tone, "i could leave if you want, come back next week maybe? It'll be a lot less lonely if i stayed here though, don't you think?" As he spoke he filed his stuff away back into his bookbag, "the name's Aidan, who're you?"

This was a first, 'who are you?' rang in her mind. Everyone knew who she was she had never been asked this question before in her life. "Um... no stay," she said, "and I'm Jaylen Romag, I was just going to read, do you mind if I sit with you, because you are right I would be lonely," she told him. Maybe he'd let her talk his ears off with gossip she had been waiting to spill out all summer. She was one who didn't like to be left alone unless it was something she chose to do, but if someone came along for her to talk to she'd talk.

"Jaylen.." Was this really the girl who he'd been told about? Aidan never makes first impressions and he never usually judges people from other people's opinions, so he gathered that if she was as the few he'd spoken too said then he'd figure it out for himself, "S'a nice name," he smiled, "And yea, take a seat. Tell the truth, i'd be happy for the company, this place if so boring without anybody to talk to.. I'm taking it that you're not a newbie here?" He asked, making assumptions and voicing them as questions like always. It's a habit, but nobody really every seems to mind him being nosy.

"Thanks, I like your name as well," Jaylen said softly as she sat down. "And no I've been going here since the seventh grade," she told him. "Yourself?" she asked. She sat her book to the side. He reminded her somewhat of her brother just by his face and hair and that made her think and blurt, like normally, first thing in her mind. "You have got to meet my brother, but you may not like him a lot of people back home make fun of him because he's gay, if you're from there or anywhere like that then you probably won't like him," she just spoke randomly. Things would pop out of her mouth without her even thinking of them, it was a natural habit, it would even happen when she didn't want it to.

"Just arrived a few days ago," he shrugged, plucking at the grass with his hands, creating a little pile just left to his shoe. A habit, he always has to be fidgeting with something, "haven't even settled into my dorm properly yet," his smile turned lopsided and he glanced back up at her as she mentioned her brother. His brow furrowed as he frowned lightly, "they make fun of him because he's gay? That ain't exactly fair.. I live in Osaka at the moment," his smile returned, "does that mean i'll like him?" He wasn't going to reveal his own sexual preferences to a practical stranger.. Not unless she asked him outright anyway.
"You like your brother?" He asked, his attention turning back to his little grass pile that was only about an inch high. It might have been a stupid question, but some siblings really don't see eye to eye..

"Me and him look somewhat alike, not twin like, he's a year older than me, and if you like gay people than yes you'll like him," Jaylen said softly. "He's so adorable, sweet kindhearted, completely unlike me in personality, people often say around her," she told him.
She had now thought about it was she all like her brother?

"Not at all like you?" He asked with a soft sound of amusement, "i wouldn't put yourself down that much, you don't seem too bad to me." But then he was judging a little too quickly. Aidan's an optimist, he will always see the best in people even when they don't see it themselves. He flashed her a bright smile, "i don't think you've been nasty to me once since we've been sat here, that's got to say something to you, doesn't it?"
He straightened out his legs, bent slightly at the knees as to be more comfortable and yet not loose circulation to his feet, "being gay doesn't change who you are as a person either," he pointed out with a mild shrug of his shoulders, "certain people only think that it does.."

"Alot of people think it does change it from where we live," Jaylen said. "Mom took us to church, and it got out he was gay, everyone at church really didn't gay people, and they all kept telling him that they'll kill him and they called him a fag and all sorts of mean words, he's truthfully, the only one I care about here, but so far here has been a safe haven for him," she told him. She sounded really down when she spoke about it, it was obvious she cared alot for him.

"Oh.." He paused for a moment, unsure of what to say when she'd finished speaking. Topics that brought anybody down were usually a no go zone for Aidan and here he'd gone and managed to bring up a subject, that by the tone of her voice, had brought her mood spiralling downwards. "Well i'm sure i'll get along with him," he smiled, "And there's a lot of people here who don't mind either, i mean, it's not exactly something uncommon these days is it?" His tone was slightly reassuring, "I wouldn't worry if i were you," he put forward, "he's your big brother right? It's a big brother's duty to look after their little sisters, i'm sure he wouldn't want you down about it."

"Here is a safe haven for him, he loves it here and would have it no other way," Jaylen said, "and I feel the same." She looked at him and it seemed like a touchy subject listening to him talk about it, "what about you? Are you straight or gay?" she asked. She herself was straight and she was happy about that.

"Does it matter?" He asked, probably giving away his answer with that somewhat quick reply. He smiled sheepishly, scratching at his cheek with his left hand, "I'm not ashamed or anything. But i know what you mean when you say that some people can be cruel. If people are going to hate me, i'd rather it be because of my personality, ya know?" "Anyway, you're pretty protective of your brother, ain't you?" He asked with a smile, "s'better than being bitter enemies i suppose, happens with most family's, don't you think?"

Jaylen smiled, "I won't tell anyone," she said softly. This time she was telling the truth, she saw what had happened with Jay and she wasn't going to let that happen to this boy. She had been a loud mouth but she wasn't that big of a loud mouth whether it came naturally or not. "And yes I play the big sibling role, though sometimes he does play it, he watches over me makes sure I don't date guys he doesn't like," she told him, "Hey maybe you'd like to go into Kobe, we can go get some good food?" she asked.
